Bali - Day 1

Two Indonesian words to share before i kicking off with my trip...
Bensin = petrol
Parkir = parking
i guess the bensin is vy helpful as the tour agent offered packages with or without petrol.. Don't think that you manage to get a cheap packages.. do ask whether the petrol is included.
Tips :
  • Bring along your own "sarong" as most of the temples needed to covered with sarong.. the amoung of money i used to rent a sarong could actually make me buy a new sarong...
  • Rupiah is used for all the foods, entrance fees, sarong, souvenirs (tour package can used both USD or Rupiah). But you don't have to change all Rupiah from your country as you'll get a better rate of Rupiah here. Just some small change for transportation and first meal in Bali will do.
  • Watch out your belongings while in Uluwatu cause the monkey was very wild as they might took away your stuff especially sunglasses.

1St Day..

Hotel : Fat Yogi

location : PopPiEs I, Kuta

Price : USD22 per night

Include : Free TransportatiOn from Airport and Breakfast
Hanging around Kuta hunting for tour package. i'm tired of bargaining the agent. I bought 3 packages one shot which cost me USD105. i took my biscuit as my lunch and straight away started my first trip to GWK cultural park. The entrance fees was quite expensive but the park was really huge.
We were unable to spend long time here as we needed to rush for sunset at Uluwatu. This place was nice and i got attracted until i missed the kecak dance-- traditional dance which held at Uluwatu where extra charge was needed. Unless you understand indonesian word, else i guess nothing to loose if you really missed it.

After that, we went to Jimbaran. The environment was romantic but the seafood price was suck. So, i rather went back to Kuta for my dinner. We ordered rice, babi guling and fried bea sprout. I didn't take picture on my food so i just shared one of the kuta town picture.

Bali - Day 2

2nd Day
I was quite excited today as we'll go to the most famous tourist attraction acrosS Bali..
We didn't go for the BatubuLan barong dance because the schedule was quite tight. We straight away went to Celuk which was famous for gold and silver smith.
Then, we went to Temple Sebatu. It's a very small temple but still needed to be charged for the sarong. I didn't go inside as much more bigger temple was there waiting for me.
After that, we went to Sukawati-- a place where lots of cheap souvenir offered. I manage to get one skirt and one T-shirt at Rp40000. And i believe the price can further reduced.

I've found the nasi campur in one shop with Rp5000. it's cheap and very tasty. It doesn't taste like nasi lemak at all.

Besides, we also found some roadside food as well. It's known as bakso. I guess the main charactor of this bakso was egg. Then i've found some fish ball, rice noodle, tofu.. etc. We did order one chicken noodle as well. All tasty and cheapy..~! (Rp5000 each)
After the cheap and nice lunch, we went to Goa Gajah. The first picture below refers to the Goa Gajah. But i enjoy the scenary around the Goa Gajah than inside the Goa itself. Quite a nice place to hang around.
The trip continued with Tapak Siring-- the president temple. There was a pond where lot of locals were bathing over there. You might give it a try if you are interest about that.

Here comes one of the most popular attraction in Bali---Kintamani Volcano. I kinda fell in love with the cool breeze and nice scenery here. Sometimes it might covered with midst where you were unable to have a chance to enjoy the nice view here. You could enjoy your buffet lunch here.

Found these pig was sleeping beside the Kintamani.

On our way to another tourist attraction, we stopped at Tegallalang Rice terrace which were the 2nd largeste rice terrace at Bali.
Take a good look~~~! it was manadarin tree.
Our next stop was Mengwi temple. Our second last stop before going to Tanah lot.
After that, we went to Tanah lot for Sunset. It was the greatest place of all in Bali. Besides sunset, plenty of stall around here. It was the most beautiful sunset i've ever seen.
We took our dinner at Kuta. We ordered one Seafood Platter and Steak which cost us Rp65000. Very reasonable prize.... But the taste just soso.
After hanging around a while around the town, we went back to our motel for some beer and Cup noodle. Feeling good for eating in the hut located in the middle of the pool.

Bali - Day 3

3rd Day...

Wake up in the morning to have a look at the Kuta beach as we'll stay in Sanur today...

Went back to hotel for my pan cake breakfast before departed.

Im not really enjoyed this trip but i'll share it anyway. Do not go to east Bali together with Besakih. The journey was very boring.
Our first stop was at Kertagosa-- the court of justice. It was just OK for me.. nothing special, nothing impressed..
Then, we made a quick stop at Bukit Jambul -- the rice terrace which was not as nice as tegallalang.

After that, we proceed to Besakih Temple. It's actually very far from Kuta even though it looked very near from the Map. Again, Sarong was charge, entrance to Besakih needed to be charged even though you just peep it from outside, If you planned to go in, another local tour guide was needed. Not sure how much as i was fared up being charged and getting nothing in the end. Do not waste your money on Sarong first if you could't decide whether wanna go in or not..

Just took some picture outside the temple, we took our lunch there as well but i guess our price are different with local price. The mixed rice cost us around RP20000 each person but i manage to get Rp10000 for two people.. Think i'm wise enough huhh? No man~~!! Wondering how we manage to get such low price? by reducing dishes lah~!reduced i think 80%...
We proceed to Bats cave which situated opposite the black sand beach but the journey was so long and i got bit frustrated actually... Lot events were held along the way and the road condition didn't really comfortable for me. It was the greatest black sand beach i've even seen before...

Our jouney continued with Bali Aga Village... A village where you paid based on Donation Basis. No much tourist here and i guessed the whole kampong was sharing one TV. You could find a cock with different colours, some batik making process and antique buildings.

Then, we went to Candidasa beach. You could find a lotus ponds without lotuS~~!!
After that, we went to Kusamba. It's a place where actually people burned the death body and sprinkle it all along the beach. After the ceremony, they actually didn't clean the beach so it's kinda dirty for me.

Since we'll move to Sanur(Denpasar), we asked the tour guide dropped us tha Bantraj Sandhi Monument before sending us back to hotel. We didn't find any tourist here. Just local people hanging around, playing football around the park where the monument was located.

Then, we went back to our new hotel.

Hotel : Ananda HotelLocation : Jalan Hang Tuah, Sanur
Price : USD20 per nightInclude : Breakfast

After taking my dinner at MC-D, i went to Jalan Tamblingan to look for a tour. Then, i proceed to Jalan Segara Ayu. Then i found there was a lot of stall selling foods, clothes, accesories. There was a stage with some live band performance as well. You won't be able to see this if you didn't come during this period. (6 aug-11aug).
